Gregory J. Barnett, M.D., is entering his second year as a Max Gray fellow which he began after his graduation from the child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the UCLA Semel Institute. He attended Yale University where he received his bachelor’s degree in psychology and decided to pursue a career in medicine. He then went on to the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University and developed an interest in working with children and adolescents with mental health challenges. He completed his adult psychiatry residency training at the Cambridge Health Alliance at Harvard Medical School, where he worked with a diverse patient population at a safety net hospital in Massachusetts. Dr. Barnett is looking forward to continuing to refine his skills in the evaluation and medication management of complex patients, and cultivating his abilities as an individual therapist in CHAMP.
