Ludmila Zaytsev, Ph.D

My name is Ludmila Zaytsev and I am a bilingual Russian-speaking clinical neuropsychologist (CA Lic 23050). I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of children and adults who are experiencing problems with their thinking, emotions, behaviors, or relationships that are due to neurological, mental health, or learning problems. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Albany in New York and a doctorate in clinical psychology from Loma Linda University. After a clinical internship at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, with focus on neuropsychology and health psychology, I completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neurodevelopmental psychology at the Loma Linda University Medical Center and Children’s Hospital.

Until recently I served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and a head of a multidisciplinary pediatric neuroassessment clinic at my alma mater. For over 8 years I was spearheading a new pediatric neuropsychology program at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. There I was responsible for evaluation of infants, children, and adolescents who were seeking services due to neurological insults as well as learning, attention, developmental concerns, autism spectrum, and social problems. I also assessed adults with memory problems, acute neurological illnesses (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injury), and autoimmune disorders.

In addition to my clinical work, I have been involved in scientific research and have had a privilege to present my findings at numerous national and international conferences.

My mission as a psychologist is to help people define their goals, transcend adversity, and realize their potential. When it comes to patient care, I believe that everyone’s uniqueness is their gift, which should be utilized in overcoming life’s dilemmas.
